Can a mermaid have too much fun?

Well, this one has! I have been zipping around Tokyo enjoying all the wonderful things that this city has to offer. When I first arrived here I was fresh out of India and I had a huge culture shock. I felt like Daryl Hannah in the movie ‘Splash!’ when she left her mermaid world behind and arrived in New York City!

When we align ourselves with having fun, we attract more fun into our lives and get caught in a spiral of fun!

However, I was starting to feel a little bit guilty because I was neglecting my blog and my website. I kept thinking to myself “Oh I should really update my blog or write my newsletter” but it just wasn’t flowing. In the end, I switched it off and continued with my merry exploration of my new home.

Me having fun!

I have been busy nesting in our new apartment and getting to know our local area. I have done a whole host of cookery classes, joined a swimming group and visited all the local yoga studios. I have also started studying Japanese again after a 13 year hiatus! On top of all of that, I volunteered my body to a friend who is training to be a Thai yoga massage therapist. This means that I get to lie down and enjoy myself while she gives me all these juicy stretches – how much fun is that?!

In the midst of all this fun, the most wonderful thing happened.

I started to miss writing.

I missed my quiet time and I missed my own website – I am not sure if it is appropriate to admit to that but it is my online creation!

All of a sudden, the things that were starting to feel like chores started to feel like fun again!

It just goes to show that we all need to include a daily dose of fun in our lives!

How much fun are you going to have this month?

SO cool, sweetie!~ Also reassuring, since I'm continually trying to allow myself to do this fully, while my driven side has kept pushing me back into the work seat~ split energy! But maybe now, after reading your own experience, I'll have the courage to let go 100%, and let the desire to work on my business bloom as organically as I would wish!
