I am on the brink of “putting myself out there” in a big way. I have been tinkering about on two free blogging platforms for a couple of years and now, in 2012, I have decided to take it to the next level. My website has gone LIVE!
I would like to extend a heartfelt “Thank you!” to everyone that has supported me through my blogging experiments to date. My ‘English Rose Yoga’ blog and my ‘Mermaid Wisdom’ blog brought me joy and a sacred space to create. However, people were getting confused. Am I a yoga teacher? Am I an Angel teacher? Or, in fact, a mermaid?! Well, the answer to all three questions is “Yes!” and no, I have not lost the plot!
Here on my new site I will be sharing all my passions in one majestic place. For me, these different modalities are all part of the same thing and, indeed, the mermaids are mentioned in Parahamsa Yogananda’s book ‘Autobiography of a Yogi’. Oh yes, check it out if you don’t believe me!
Since arriving in India I have been feeling stuck and frustrated because I did not have a forum in which to share the teachings that I feel guided to offer. On a practical level, I have had visa issues. Groan! Plus, our lifestyle is such that we are like modern day gypsies who move to a new location every couple of years with my husband’s job. As soon as I lay down roots and form a community, we move.
The inspiring and talented Leonie Dawson has shown me how I can bring these teachings online and opened my eyes to a whole new approach to sharing what I have to offer: the internet. Of course, this new fangled thing!
However, preparing to launch my sacred site has been scary. It is still in its delicate infancy and my head is so full of ideas and visions for the future that there are days when I am overwhelmed. This website is the first step towards realising that dream. Like many things in my life, it started as a doodle:
It has now blossomed into what you are looking at today.
I do hope that you will continue to share in my magical journey through life. Over the next few months, I will be absorbing as much of India as possible before we move to our next location. Please, take my hand, join me as I step into the web!
